Rona Fletcher
Bio
I was born in Mexico City to a New York actor father and a Mexican writer and painter mother from Oaxaca. I was raised in a completely artistic, bilingual, and bicultural environment, as I studied both in New York and Mexico City.
I earned my degree in Communications and Advertising, as well as in Art Therapy. I started my career in mass media at Televisa, Mexico, where I worked as a host and writer for a daily morning talk show for over 20 years.
As a commercial voiceover artist, I began by lending my voice on the same network for promotional content, in both Spanish and English, serving both the U.S. and Latin American markets (Channel 2 de las Estrellas, CNN, Telemundo, TVC, and recently for HBO Max).
In radio, I hosted live shows for more than 20 years on stations such as Rock 101, Radio Mil, Radio Caracol, Stereorey, and XEW.
My voiceover work has been for a wide range of products, including airlines (Mexicana de Aviación and Volaris), hundreds of commercial spots and corporate videos, voice systems, and as varied as campaigns for supermarkets (Aurrera, Walmart, Target, Costco); cosmetics (Cover Girl, Jaffra); automobiles (Renault, GM, VW, BMW); and political, educational, and social campaigns.
In dubbing, I’ve voiced many characters in animated and live-action series in both Spanish and English.
In video games, I’ve been involved in Spanish, English, and Mayan for Tomb Raider; in Spanish for Forza Motorsport, Fortnite, and Halo, both in the games and recently in the Paramount+ series.
My accolades include: the Bravo Award for the best female character performance in Desperate Housewives; the 2018 SOVAS Awards in Los Angeles for Best Spanish Language Animation Demo Reel; and the Silver in the Best Female Institutional Voiceover category from the Creative Circle of Mexico in its 29th edition, “Círculo de Oro”, in 2019.
